• Recognitions at the February 20th Board Meeting

    During each monthly Board of Education meeting, time is allotted for recognition of students, staff, business partners, and schools that bring honor to the ÎçҹѰ»¨ and further its mission to improve the quality of education. There were several recognized at the Board Meeting on February 20, 2019.

    Pledge of Allegiance

    Student with the Board of Education

    Daniel Lopez, a 6th grader at Redwood Elementary School, was selected to lead the Board of Education in the Pledge of Allegiance.

    "Daniel is a model student at Redwood Elementary school. He is a high achieving student that is also very involved in school leadership and other activities in Fontana USD. Daniel has been a crucial member of Redwood’s ASB since 4th grade, helping plan create a more positive school culture. He is an integral part of Redwood’s Elementary Leadership Summit that has included students from many other schools. He has also had lead parts in Redwood’s Musicals as well as held parts in Jurupa Hills’ performances. Daniel is a well-rounded student that will be a future leader in Fontana." said Superintendent Randal S. Bassett.


    Henry J. Kaiser High School Band

    Kaiser High School Catamount Pride Band and Color Guard were recognized for performing as the Premier Band in the Rose Parade.


    Summit High School Cheerleading Team

    Summit High School Cheerleaders were recognized for placing third in the UCA National High School Cheerleading Championship in Florida.
