Dear Maple Elementary Parents and Guardians,

I hope this letter finds you well and that you are enjoying a wonderful summer with your family. My name is Renee Castanon, and I am honored to introduce myself as the new principal of Maple Elementary School. I am excited to join this incredible community and to embark on a journey of growth and learning with you and your children. 

As we prepare for the upcoming school year, I wanted to remind you that school will begin on Monday, August 5th. We are eagerly anticipating the return of our students and are committed to ensuring that the 2024-2025 school year is filled with enriching experiences and academic success. 

When time permits, I kindly ask that you read over the student handbook. It contains important information about our school policies, procedures, and expectations. Familiarizing yourself with this document will help ensure a smooth and successful start to the school year for everyone. 

I am very much looking forward to collaborating with you to provide the best possible educational experience for our students. Your support and involvement are crucial to our collective success, and I am eager to work together to create a positive and nurturing environment for all.

Please take note of the following important items of information:

• Office hours are 7:00am – 3:30pm
• Every student will need a signed Annual Notice and Student Acceptable Use Agreement before they can have FUSD login access ().
• Students may arrive on campus for breakfast at 7:15am.
• The first bell rings at 7:40am and classroom instruction begins at 7:45am.
• School ends at 2:20pm on Regular Days (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday)
• Wednesdays are minimum days for grade K-5th grade – school ends at 11:50am
• Students may receive a school breakfast/lunch or may bring a lunch from home.
