Hey Hey Hey!

Becoming an educator was never on my radar growing up. In fact, I distinctly remember vowing never to become a teacher. Like many kids, I envisioned myself as a police officer or a doctor. My journey began at California State University San Bernardino, where I initially declared an accounting major with dreams of striking it rich. However, during my second quarter, I had a life-changing epiphany. From that moment on, I saw my life as a gift meant to be shared with others. Teaching became my calling, and I absolutely loved it! I felt truly alive in the classroom, inspiring students and helping them discover their purpose. I realized my mission was to guide kids in relentlessly pursuing their dreams.

I'm a proud Fontana native, having attended Chaparral Elementary myself. It brings me immense joy to now lead the very school where I once was a student. I graduated from Fontana High School (FOHI) and earned my bachelor's degree in mathematics at CSUSB—a challenging but rewarding experience. Teaching math at FOHI alongside my former teachers was a dream come true. I continued my education at Azusa Pacific University (APU), earning a master’s degree in Education and my teaching credential. My passion for learning led me to further pursue a master’s degree in Education Leadership and an Administrative Credential. I've also had the privilege of teaching at Fontana Middle School and Jurupa Hills High School.

Positively impacting kids' lives is my life's purpose. Serving the students and parents of my community is an honor beyond words. My dream is to build a school where students thrive and find their unique purpose. I strive to provide students with exceptional and relevant learning experiences that set them apart. I am Mr. McCaffrey, the humbled and proud Principal of Chaparral Academy of Technology, where we choose to live with intention and purpose every day.
